Update!

I've been real busy (lazy) and focused (nope) for the past few months and I've got a lot (3) of new (old) stuff to post!

My creative mind basically works in circles, and I've now finally stopped thinking about my other ideas and have returned to my baby (the one most likely to be successful) "The Drowning Man". This drawing is actually the first one I've ever done of the Drowning Man and is also the only one where I've used paint. The red and some white is paint, but the rest is all pencil. So if you think it looks weird, that's why. I'm too lazy to finish it. Maybe one day. I'll probably just redo it altogether. Maybe make it the cover of the first issue. Who knows?

In the beginning...

This was the movie version shot in Winter 2004 for film school. It was entitled "Punisher: War Journal- The Drowning Man". The Punisher was narrating and although he now does that in all of his comics, Punisher: War Journal was told as if you were reading a page out of a diary.

You can see one of the "action" scenes between the Punisher and the Drowning Man. I say action, because it sure as hell wasn't a fight. I'm trying to remember how long we were planning this venture, but it was a six week minimum for my two actors to choreograph their big fight. One was a martial arts expert (The Punisher) and he was so excited to get the work done. Six weeks later, they saw each other for the first time since the script reading. Fuckers.

You can see my original Ertzbet all covered in blood. She was willing to appear fully nude for the film, but I had a few issues. Firstly, I'm not sure how my crew would react around a buck naked chick. I was thinking about having only the necessary people in the room at the time and only have her naked when necessary. However, the cameraman was the most immature and the one I was worried about most. Next, I wasn't sure how I would react. I probably would have been fine. A very important part would be the raw footage. Although she'd trust me with it, I wouldn't trust myself. And last, her boyfriend wasn't keen on the idea and he was the Drowning Man. So, I left her clothed. I decided that it wasn't truly necessary to move the story forward. With the changes I've made, it is important now. It tells a lot about the character.

You'll see.
